A short essay which was awarded the 2020 Drawing Matter Writing Prize.

The text is a continuation of an existing drawing exercise, How to Lay out a Croissant, by Enric Miralles and Eva Prats (1991). In both precise and anecdotal terms, Miralles and Prats list out the steps required in laying out a croissant (or an architectural drawing).
