The Form of the Manifesto
Bartlett School of Architecture, May 2021
lecture and workshop

The session comprised of a lecture and workshop on manifestos for students at the Bartlett School of Architecture. It was split in two parts: a brief history of architectural manifestos and a writing workshop. The historical overview began with Martin Luther from 1517, nailing his thesis to the church door. Then we discussed key developments in mass print production and analysed texts from architectural manifestos including The Death and Life of Great American Cities by Jane Jacobs, Archigram and Delirious New York by Rem Koolhaas.
