The third in a series of essays which survey Shatwell Farm in Somerset, which was home to the Drawing Matter archive at the time. The first essay in the series was Cars. The texts document the workings of the farm in writing, photographs, film and text.
Appendages happen quickly and might be termed as practices in tinkering or maintenance. They can be temporary and are often made by those using the building without the help of architects. On Shatwell Farm, the buildings are altered as and when needed with minimal intervention. Read here
