The second in a series of essays which survey Shatwell Farm in Somerset, home of the Drawing Matter archive. The first essay, Cars, can be seen here. Rather than the archive, the texts document the workings of the farm in writing, photographs, film and text. Sheds and Silos discusses the ways in which the agricultural buildings on the farm have been reappropriated, added to and adjusted to serve new activities and operations. Rather than building anew, the farm celebrates an approach of working with what’s there.
