The second in a series of essays which survey Shatwell Farm in Somerset, which was the home of the Drawing Matter archive at the time. The first essay in the series was Cars. The texts document the workings of the farm in writing, photographs, film and text.
This text discusses the ways in which the agricultural buildings on the farm have been reappropriated, added to and adjusted to serve new activities and operations. Rather than building anew, the farm celebrates an approach of working with what’s there. Read here
