The first in a series of essays which survey Shatwell Farm in Somerset, home of the Drawing Matter archive. Rather than the archive, the texts document the workings of the farm in writing, photographs, film and text. Cars documents the vehicles seen during the first days on the farm and speculates on what this means in terms of social and economic sustainability, given that Somerset is an agricultural landscape which has largely been transformed into one of tourism.
